85% of River Safari’s animal collection is designed to be viewed by visitors on foot, while the boat ride lets visitors see the other 15%. Animals along Amazon River Quest can only be seen via the boat ride.

The ride will be suspended when lightning is detected in the vicinity and during heavy rain for the safety and comfort of the guests. Umbrella is not allowed to be opened during the boat ride, hence guests may wish to put on their rain jacket or ponchos before boarding when the ride is operating during a light drizzle.

Amazon River Quest simulates the experience of a boat expedition down Amazon River where visitors can spot the various animals in naturalistic habitats. With various species of monkeys that reside on tree tops, an open-top boat design allows better chances of seeing these animals, many of which would not be visible with a covered boat.

Reservoir Cruise

Reservoir Cruise is a slow, scenic boat ride along Upper Seletar Reservoir, whereas Amazon River Quest simulates an open-top boat voyage down Amazon River featuring land and tree-dwelling animals in naturalistic habitats.

Reservoir Cruise is a scenic boat ride meant for visitors to take a respite from a full-day of adventure.

Reservoir Cruise is mainly a scenic boat ride along Upper Seletar Reservoir. Sensitivity and alertness to the surroundings are key to spotting animals among lush vegetation. In the wild, it is natural for animals to blend into their surroundings to hide in plain sight. Likewise, the animals along the cruise exhibit similar behaviour, hiding behind boulders and vegetation.

The safety of visitors is our highest priority. We have taken the necessary measures to ensure safety of passengers and our staff.

These include:

  • Regular maintenance of our boats
  • Safety jackets provided on the cruise
  • Safety briefing before embarkation

River Safari is Asia’s first and only river-themed wildlife park showcasing aquatic and terrestrial animals from eight river habitats such as Amazon River, River Nile and Mekong River. The park houses one of the world’s largest collections of freshwater animals.
