  • Park tickets are valid for one full day. Visitors can exit and re-enter the park on the same day by presenting their park ticket and re-entry stamp provided by our staff at the exit.
School group guidelines for River Safari Cruise:
  • Each boat sits a maximum of 40 persons.
  • Please note that the ride at River Safari Cruise is weather permitting.

School group guidelines for booking Amazon River Quest:

  • Students must be at least 1.06 metres in height.
  • Each boat sits a maximum of 14 persons. An adult must accompany the students in every boat if students are under 1.35 metres in height.
  • Please note that operation of the Amazon River Quest boat ride is weather permitting.

How do I register a visit to the River Safari?

  • Please visit this page for more information on school admission and ride pricing! 
  • School groups must make a registration with the Education department via this page in order to receive school rates
  • If you’re familiar with our rates and want to go straight to trip registration, head over to this form instead
  • A representative from the Education department will be in touch with you within 2-3 working days. Please note that your submitted indication of interest is not a confirmation, and our staff will follow up with you regarding the confirmation procedure. We look forward to seeing you and your students at our parks!

Is there complimentary admission for toddlers or infants?

  • Yes, children below 3 receive complimentary admission and tram rides
  • Educational programme rates still apply for children below 3 

My educational group is not directly under a particular school (government self-help groups, enrichment centres, tuition centres, charitable organizations, weekend schools, etc). Will I get school rates?

School rates will be accorded on a case-by-case basis. Please drop us an email here to enquire!

Can students or teachers use their personal park membership card to offset admission?

  • Yes, but they must bring the physical membership card on the day itself 
  • When making a reservation, please let us know in advance how many people will be using a membership card

Does the admission ticket include boat rides?

  • All admission tickets include the Reservoir Cruise boat ride
  • Admission tickets do not include the Amazon River Quest (ARQ) boat ride 
  • ARQ tickets can be purchased separately online, at the Zoo ticketing counter, or at River Safari Boat Plaza. Check the pricing here 
  • You can include the ARQ in your reservation when you register a school visit with us here

Are there height restrictions for the Amazon River Quest?

  • Yes, riders must be at least 1.06m tall
  • Please read the full ARQ guidelines here before your visit 

Are accompanying teachers or adults given complimentary admission during a school visit?

  • Yes, local school groups receive 1 complimentary adult admission for every 10 paying students
  • Please check out admission pricing page above for the full breakdown

Can I recce the park before my school's visit?

  • Yes. Please register your recce trip with the Education Dept at least 1 month before your visit date 
  • Tickets for the recce are extracted from the 10 paying students : 1 complimentary teacher ratio accorded to your school on the day of the actual visit
  • Eg. 300 students on actual visit entitles you to 30 complimentary adults. If 3 teachers come for a recce, then you're entitled to 27 on the actual visit date

How do I register a recce trip?

  • Download the recce form here, and email the completed form to us at least 1 month before your actual visit
  • Late registrations for recce trips might not be processed in time

Are recce tickets free?

  • The tickets for the recce are extracted from your ratio of 1 complimentary teacher for every 10 paying students
  • Maximum 5 teachers are allowed for a recce
  • Additional teachers will need to pay the normal teacher admission rate (see table above) 

Can I recce the park before planning a camp with WRS?

  • Yes. If you already have a camp reservation with us, please request a site recce from the staff you've been liaising with
  • If you're keen on making a new camp enquiry, drop us an email at [email protected] 

Do I need to raise a GeBiz Invitation to Quote for my school visit?

  • If your total amount doesn't exceed the minimum required for an ITQ, then it won't be needed
  • However, if you're planning a River Safari-specific learning journey and need to raise an ITQ for admission tickets, please email us to obtain a customized Sole Provider Letter 

What educational programmes are available to schools?

Does the programme fee include admission?

No, programme fees do not include admission

Can the River Safari visit my school instead?

  • Yes, we run an outreach programme called River Safari Flows to School, where we bring the wildlife learning experience to your school
  • As part of this programme, the school will also receive a $300 River Safari voucher. Visit this page for more information

Is there a minimum pax for each programme?

  • Yes, the programme listing will indicate the minimum pax required for each programme
  • If you're keen to continue with less than the min. pax, you will still need to pay for the additional ghost pax (number needed to attain the min amount)

Where will the programme be held?

  • Indoor programmes are usually held at the River Safari Classroom, Wildlife Learning Centre (Auditorium) or other equivalent indoor locations. The venue might change, so please check your confirmation email for your final venue
  • Behind-the-scenes tours and guided tours will be held on-site at the respective exhibits. Do check your confirmation email for the exact meeting point 

What happens if it rains during a programme?

  • The entire River Safari is sheltered, except for the ARQ ride 
  • You are still strongly advised to bring your own rain gear just in case

Are there First Aid facilities in the River Safari?

  • Yes, there are first aid stations at the River Safari main entrance
  • AEDs can also be found at the entrance, Panda Courtyard, and Boat Plaza

Are there water coolers in the park?

Water coolers are found at the following locations: 
  • River Safari Entrance Plaza
  • Panda Courtyard
  • Boat Plaza

Can we bring our own food into the park?

  • Yes, you can bring your own snacks and refreshments
  • Please note that external caterer deliveries are not allowed into the park, so do make arrangements for your own meal delivery and pick up at the pick-up point

Can we order lunch for the school within the park?

  • No, not within River Safari
  • However, you can place advance orders for KFC meals from the Zoo outlets

Where are some suitable sheltered areas for students to rest or have snack breaks?

River Safari is entirely sheltered. For snack breaks, we recomend the following locations: 
 
  • Boat Plaza (except during show times of 11-11.30am, 4-4.30pm)
  • Giant Panda Courtyard
  • Queueing area near Giant Panda exhibit entrance
  • Viewing dock (on the bridge)
  • Viewing dock (near ARQ exit) 
  • Exit areas of Amazon Flooded Forest

How long does it take to complete a visit to River Safari?

Can I make a reservation for the show?

  • No, shows are free-seating, weather-permitting, and open to the public
  • We recommend being at the venue around 30min before the start time in order to secure your favoured seats

Will the shows continue if it rains?

  • Shows are weather-permitting and may be cancelled in the event of rain or other challenging weather conditions
  • If the show is cancelled, feel free to explore these nearby sheltered exhibits: Amazon Flooded Forest, Giant Panda Forest

Is the River Safari sheltered?

  • The entire River Safari is sheltered, except for the ARQ ride
