This exhibit features a range of North American wildlife from the world’s fourth longest river. Packing a powerful bite are the alligator snapping turtles and their cousins, the common snapping turtles. Another ‘alligator’, the alligator gar, is a must-see among the fishes. It can grow to a length of 3m and weigh up to 300kg! Guests can also sneak a peek at reptiles like the king and corn snakes, as well as amphibians like the tiger salamanders through viewing windows.
