The following admission rates apply to the listed academic institutions. School groups must pre-register with the Education Department to be granted school admission rates.

  • For every 10 paying students, 1 adult gets complimentary admission. Additional adults in the group wil have to pay admission fee (school rates)
  • The 10:1 ratio is not applicable to tertiary institutions such as (but not limited to Polytechnics, Private Institutions and Universities)

How do I register a visit to Jurong Bird Park?

  • Please visit this page for more information on school admission and ride pricing! 
  • School groups must make a registration with the Education department via this page in order to receive school rates
  • If you’re familiar with our rates and want to go straight to trip registration, head over to this form instead
  • A representative from the Education department will be in touch with you within 2-3 working days. Please note that your submitted indication of interest is not a confirmation, and our staff will follow up with you regarding the confirmation procedure. We look forward to seeing you and your students at our parks!

Is there complimentary admission for toddlers or infants?

  • Yes, children below 3 receive complimentary admission and tram rides
  • Educational programme rates still apply for children below 3 

My educational group is not directly under a particular school (government self-help groups, enrichment centres, tuition centres, charitable organizations, weekend schools, etc). Will I get school rates?

School rates will be accorded on a case-by-case basis. Please drop us an email here to enquire!

Can students or teachers use their personal park membership card to offset admission?

  • Yes, but they must bring the physical membership card on the day itself 
  • When making a reservation, please let us know in advance how many people will be using a membership card

Does the admission ticket include a tram ride?

  • No, the admission ticket only includes entrance into Jurong Bird Park
  • Tram tickets may be purchased on-site at the ticketing counter for $3.00 (3-12 years old) or $5.00 (13 years and above). Please check here for the latest pricing
  • You can include the tram ride when registering your school visit with us here. Please do so in order to receive special school rates! 

Are accompanying teachers or adults given complimentary admission during a school visit?

  • Yes, local school groups receive 1 complimentary adult admission for every 10 paying students
  • Please check out admission pricing page above for the full breakdown

Can I recce the park before my school's visit?

  • Yes. Please register your recce trip with the Education Dept at least 1 month before your visit date 
  • Tickets for the recce are extracted from the 10 paying students : 1 complimentary teacher ratio accorded to your school on the day of the actual visit
  • Eg. 300 students on actual visit entitles you to 30 complimentary adults. If 3 teachers come for a recce, then you're entitled to 27 on the actual visit date

How do I register a recce trip?

  • Download the recce form here, and email the completed form to us at least 1 month before your actual visit
  • Late registrations for recce trips might not be processed in time

Are recce tickets free?

  • The tickets for the recce are extracted from your ratio of 1 complimentary teacher for every 10 paying students
  • Maximum 5 teachers are allowed for a recce
  • Additional teachers will need to pay the normal teacher admission rate (see table above) 

Can I recce the park before planning a camp with WRS?

  • Yes. If you already have a camp reservation with us, please request a site recce from the staff you've been liaising with
  • If you're keen on making a new camp enquiry, drop us an email at [email protected] 

Do I need to raise a GeBiz Invitation to Quote for my school visit?

  • If your total amount doesn't exceed the minimum required for an ITQ, then it won't be needed
  • However, if you're planning a Zoo-specific learning journey and need to raise an ITQ for admission tickets, please email us to obtain a customized Sole Provider Letter 

What educational programmes are available to schools?

Does the programme fee include admission?

No, programme fees do not include admission

Can the Jurong Bird Park visit my school instead?

  • Yes, we run an outreach programme called Jurong Bird Park Flies to School, where we bring the wildlife learning experience to your school
  • As part of this programme, the school will also receive a $300 JBP voucher. Visit this page for more information

Is there a minimum pax for each programme?

  • Yes, the programme listing will indicate the minimum pax required for each programme
  • If you're keen to continue with less than the min. pax, you will still need to pay for the additional ghost pax (number needed to attain the min amount)

Where will the programme be held?

  • Indoor programmes are usually held at the Bird Discovery Centre or other equivalent indoor locations. The venue might change, so please check your confirmation email for your final venue
  • Guided tours will be held on-site at the respective exhibits. Do check your confirmation email for the exact meeting point 

What happens if it rains during a programme?

  • Our staff will take the necessary precautions and head towards the nearest shelter with the group
  • You are still strongly advised to bring your own rain gear, and to plan for a wet-weather scenario

Are there First Aid facilities in Jurong Bird Park?

  • Yes, there is a first aid station at Birdz of Play 
  • AEDs can also be found at Tram station 1 and Lory Loft
  • Please refer to the map for these locations 

Are there water coolers in the park?

Water coolers are found at the following locations: 
  • Pools Amphitheatre
  • Penguin Coast

Can we bring our own food into the park?

  • Yes, you can bring your own snacks and refreshments
  • Please note that external caterer deliveries are not allowed into the park, so do make arrangements for your own meal delivery and pick up at the pick-up point

Where are some suitable sheltered areas for students to rest or have snack breaks?

  • Penguin Coast
  • Outside Breeding and Research Centre
  • Waterfall Cafe
  • Pelican Cove shelter (except during show time of 2pm)
  • Pools Amphitheatre (except during show times of 11-11.30am and 3-3.30pm)
  • Songbird Terrace (except during Lunch with Parrots at 1pm)

How long does it take to complete a visit to Jurong Bird Park?

Can I make a reservation for the show?

  • No, shows are free-seating, weather-permitting, and open to the public
  • We recommend being at the venue around 30min before the start time in order to secure your favoured seats 

Are the shows free?

Yes, the shows are free 

Will the shows continue if it rains?

  • Shows are weather-permitting and may be cancelled in the event of rain or other challenging weather conditions
  • If the show is cancelled, feel free to explore these nearby sheltered exhibits: Breeding and Research Centre, Penguin Coast, Bird Discovery Centre

Is Jurong Bird Park sheltered?

  • Partially. The park premises and exhibits are mostly outdoors, although there are some sheltered exhibits (see question below)
  • We recommend that schools plan a wet-weather contingency while preparing for a fieldtrip 

What should we do if it rains?

Please seek shelter in the nearest sheltered area. These are some shelters in the park:
